Our activities
We are currently engaged in an origami project in collaboration with Libera, Associazioni e numeri contro le mafie, aiming to promote peace and legality within primary schools.
This initiative draws inspiration from the story of Sadako Sasaki, a young Japanese girl who survived the devastating atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima at the age of two. Despite leading an ordinary life, Sadako developed a passion for sports, particularly running, until health issues arose.
Following her competitions, Sadako began experiencing fainting spells, which led to a diagnosis of leukaemia. Consequently, she spent the rest of her short life confined to a hospital. Despite these challenging circumstances, a friend shared with her a Japanese legend that folding 1000 origami cranes could grant wishes. Intrigued by this idea, Sadako embarked on this endeavour and managed to fold 644 cranes before succumbing to her illness at the age of 12.
Although her premature death occurred, Sadako's classmates continued her mission by folding the remaining cranes to fulfil her dream. This act transformed Sadako into a global symbol of peace. Today, a statue of Sadako stands at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, bearing witness to her enduring legacy.
Children from around the world gather at this site, bringing their own origami cranes as a tribute to Sadako's indomitable spirit and the universal quest for peace.

Our events
Our events are made of conferences, debates, theatre representations or movie screenings. By organising this kind of event we want to reach a bigger and diverse audience, especially Sciences Po students who often ignore the mafia phenomenon on our territory.
Some events...
Our interventions
All of our interventions are made by our Sciences Po students and members of the association. During our presentations, we usually tackle the history of the mafia by underlining the international phenomenon it has become. After, we dedicate a part on how to address organized crime and the merging challenges, including the importance of an international jurisprudence. We also present all the active associations fighting nationally and internationally against organized crime and how to become an actor for social justice!
